An integrated clinical-shamanic framework examining the physiological risks and bio-energetic disruptions of exogenous peptide use during plant medicine ceremonies, equipping facilitators to safeguard participants.

As the landscape of modern somatic modification intersects with the ancient practice of plant medicine facilitation, we encounter a new clinical and energetic frontier. Today's retreat participants often step into ceremony with profoundly altered neuro-somatic architecture, shaped by exogenous peptides, GLP-1 agonists, pineal modulators, and a spectrum of research compounds. These substances are frequently framed as enhancements to personal wellness rather than recognized as pharmaceutical interventions, leading many to omit them from intake disclosures. This creates significant, uncharted risks within the ceremonial container.

Drawing from the lived experience of a clinician with a decade of emergency medicine and the embodied wisdom of an initiated Shaman rooted in Pueblo and Amazonian traditions, this paper offers the first integrated clinical-shamanic framework for safely navigating synthetic peptide use within ceremonial space. It explores both the immediate physiological risks and the nuanced disruptions to the body's bio-energetic field that arise from contemporary cellular-level interventions. The intention is to equip facilitators with practical tools to safeguard both the integrity of the physical vessel and the clarity of the visionary channel.
